X-RAY INSPECTION SYSTEMS

  • Development of Single Data Exchange Network of X-ray Control Systems Used by the Customs Authorities of the Baltic States

    • Implementing the agreement concluded between the Customs of the Republic of Lithuania and the European Commission and the state capital investment project “Development of Single Data Exchange Network of X-ray Control Systems Used by the Customs Authorities of the Baltic States” co-financed by the funds of the European Union, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, the Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania together with partners, i.e. the Latvian State Income Service and Estonian Tax and Customs Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Estonia concluded the contract for development of single data exchange network of x-ray control systems used by the customs authorities of the Baltic States with Nuctech Company Limited in 2016. JSC Inta led the implementation of the contract in Lithuania. The value of the contract ~ 3 mln. Eur. The contract was successively implemented in 2017.

  • Installation of MT1213DE mobile X-ray control systems for inspection of vehicles/containers at Panemunes and Kybartu road posts

    • Legal entities group united for the joint venture, which consists of Nuctech Warsaw Company Limited Sp. Z.o.o. and JSC Inta, and Klaipeda Territorial Customs Office concluded the contract on public purchase and sale of the mobile X-ray control system for inspection of vehicles/containers on the 26th of November, 2012. The value of the contract ~ 12 million LTL. The procurement is being executed under the State Capital Investments Project “Increasing the capacity of Kybartai and Panemune border control points with the help of X-ray control systems” and the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (2007-2013) supporting cross-border cooperation between Lithuania, Poland and Russia. The X-ray mobile systems were successively implemented in October, 2013.


  • Installation of stationary (relocatable) X-Ray control system MB1215LC for inspection of vehicles/containers in Lavoriskes border control post

    • Legal entities group united for the joint venture, which consists of Nuctech Warsaw Company Limited Sp. Z.o.o. and JSC Inta, and State Border Guard Service at the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania concluded the contract on public purchase and sale of the stacionary (relocatable) X-ray control system for inspection of vehicles/containers on the 14th of January, 2013. The value of the contract ~ 5 million LTL. Project Nr. ISF11/3.1.1-1.2 “Installation of ionizing radiation equipment in Lavoriskes border control post” founded by the assets of the annual programme of 2011 of the external borders funs. Stacionary (relocatable) X-ray control system was successfully implemented in Lavoriskes border control post, Vilnius district in June, 2013.


  • Installation of stationary (relocatable) X-Ray control system MB1215LC for inspection of vehicles/containers in Medininkai road post

    • Legal entities group, united for the joint venture, which consists of INTA, Nuctech Company Limited, Warsaw Nuctech Company Limited Sp.Zoo, and the Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania concluded the contract for public purchase and sale of the stacionary (relocatable) X-ray control system for inspection of vehicles/containers for Medininkai road post, road A3 Vilnius district. The purpose of the relocatable X-ray cargo inspection system is to perform a non-invasive inspection (carried out by scanning cargos with a help of ionizing radiation) of goods transported by road vehicles (any type of cargo containers, trailers and semi-trailers, road trains, cars, and minibuses) and sea containers, aiming to detect violations of any nature and inspect vehicles through the entire geometric volume identifying possible hiding-places or modifications made for hiding contraband goods. The system has been successfully installed in 2012.


  • Installation of X-Ray inspection system THSCAN PB2028TD for inspection of marine containers and trucks transported goods

    • The Customs Department under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania and Nuctech Company Limited (together with INTA) has signed a contract for X-ray inspection system THSCAN PB2028TD installation in Klaipeda sea port in 2007. The system is used for inspection of marine containers and trucks transported goods. The main purpose of the system is to ensure the European Union’s external border security and prevent illegal entry of goods into the Republic of Lithuania and the European Union. The system finally was installed in November, 2008.


  • Installation of X-Ray inspection system THSCAN PB2028TD for inspection of railroad cargo vehicles – cargo trains and containers

    • JSC INTA and State Border Guard Service under the Ministry of Interior signed the agreement for procurement of ionizing radiation equipment for divisions of the State Border Guard Service in December, 2006. The project was financed by the funds of the Schengen measure. The equipment is implemented at the Kena railroad station. The ionizing radiation equipment is used for inspection of railroad cargo vehicles – cargo trains and containers, coming to the Republic of Lithuania from Belarus. The main function of the system is to ensure security of external borders of the European Union. The functioning of the system is based by using x-rays for scanning of railroad cargo vehicles. During the scanning process of a train, a radiographic image of cargo is obtained, which helps to identify the type of materials inside the container, distinguish organic and non-organic materials, identify explosives, secret cavities, illegally traveling persons, etc. The system finally was installed in 2007.
